	Overview and Learning Objectives Students learn about the phases of molecular separation, and then experiment with paper and ion chromatography. Students will be able to: identify the role of the mobile and stationary phases in the separation process; compare paper and ion chromatography; manipulate hydrophobic and hydrophilic characteristics of the mobile and stationary phases in order to compare results. return to top
